"Truth does not become more true by virtue of the fact that the entire world agrees with it, nor less so even if the whole world disagrees with it." Maimonides - Moreh Nevochim 2:15
Remember the words of YHWH:
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I YHWH search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. [Jeremiah 17:9-10]
Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of YHWH, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of YHWH, that ye may keep your own tradition. [Mark 7:7-9]
Truly, it is not us who tests the heart, but YHWH KNOWS even the PURPOSES or IMAGINATIONS of the thoughts.
And thou, Solomon My son, know thou the Elohim of thy father, and serve Him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for YHWH searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek Him, He will be found of thee; but if thou forsake Him, He will cast thee off for ever. [1 Chronicles 28:9]
We should know then the deceitfulness of traditions of men. It is not easy going against the grain. It is not easy being set apart or different. But we can not let that affect what is truth. For what is right is not necessarily popular and what is popular is not necessarily right.
"In a choice between unity and Truth, unity must yield to Truth, for it is better to be divided by Truth than to be united in error."
