Does not Our Father Answers Prayers,
no matter in who's name we pray?
It is recommended that if you have not read previous articles concerning as to what is the name of our Father, YHWH, you do so here "YHWH" and/or here "The Third Commandment and His Name". If you have, please go on.
There is no question that many prayers prayed in the name of
"the LORD"
have been answered. But this does
not prove that "the LORD" is His true name. What it does prove is that our Father is good and merciful in spite of our ignorance. It proves that
our Creator judges the heart of man and not his head. He is a righteous judge and judges a man on what his heart causes him to do with what he
does know. If the Almighty were to wait until a man's understanding were perfect before blessing him, man would never receive anything from
His hand. We should be thanking The Mighty One, YHWH, for His goodness toward us even while we are ignorant of so much truth. But you
do not have nor are now ignorant of the truth concerning His glorious Name.
Once we (non Israelite) come to the firm conviction that as Gentiles, we are a second class citizen next to
Yahweh's son and servant Israel (Exodus 4:22,23; Isaiah 41:8-17; Hoshea 11:1;
Luke 2:54; Romans 9:4). It is only in our humble acknowledgment of this fact that there is any real hope of significant growth in favor with the
Mighty One of Abraham,
the Mighty One of Isaac and the Mighty One of Jacob (Israel). This is not to say
that Israel has been perfect in his obedience or understanding of Yahweh. Even within Judaism there is much disagreement on fundamental theological issues. Christianity has
at least as much discord within itself. The thousands of differing denominations attests to this fact.
Many individuals within both Judaism and Christianity have had prayers answered and each side tends to see this fact as evidence that Yahweh is on their side. It is only natural to see the obvious movements of Yahweh within one’s own particular faith while at the same time being blinded to what He has done in the midst of others. Our Maker has without question worked miracles and answered many prayers of both Jews and Christians. It would be an exercise in arrogant and ignorant futility to say otherwise. Yet it is also an undeniable observation that neither, Judaism nor Christianity, are being the wonder to the world that they could be. What we see instead are two religions, each only dimly shining without a great brightness while each holds what would make the truth shine beyond belief if they would share each other's legacy. Yet we intuitively know that if one was perfect in doctrine, Yahweh would openly endorse that faith with His power as never seen before and all the sons of Yahweh would be revealed.
Sincerity by itself has no bearing on what the Truth is. The
world is full of sincere people many of whom are willing to die for what they
believe. A martyr is a person who has demonstrated the
height of sincerity. But there are many individuals of other religions outside
Judaism and Christianity willing to die for what they believe, who we as
believers in the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac and the Elohim of Jacob
disagree with. The only thing that sincerity has to do with the truth is that
the sincere person truly believes that what he believes is the truth. But that
sincerity alone does not make what one believes the Truth. We certainly can not
accuse a sincere person of malicious motives. Because sincerity is so appealing
and the root of much excitement, it becomes difficult to challenge the sincere
person's understanding without sounding like his motives are being called into
question.
It is only when we humbly admit to these facts that we might be able to deal with issues
of theology and ask the difficult questions without questioning another’s sincerity and conscious motives.
[Matthew 6:9 ] After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
May we come to the know and understand our Father's Truth is our prayer. We ask of You O Mighty One this as it were your faithful Yahushua would ask, our brother, so be it (amen).
